The 5th International Conference on Law, Social Sciences and Education (ICLSSE) 2023 is an international forum for disseminating knowledge and research development from researchers, practitioners, professionals, and those in legal studies, social sciences, and social science education. The main objectives of the conference are: -to disseminate knowledge and discussion on law, social sciences, and social science education -to provide a platform and opportunity for all academics and professionals through academic dialogue -to prepare academics, professionals, and the public to address educational, sociocultural, legal, and geographical issues to support Indonesian Constitutionalism.

This conference is an international forum to disseminate knowledge and research development among researchers, scholars, professionals, and those interested in research interests in Law and Social Sciences and Social Education. This conference was organized by the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha. The theme of this fourth conference is "Race, Ethnicity, and Nationalism in Postmodern Society: Opportunities and Challenges".
Bencana Alam di Bali dalam Perspektif Ilmu Geografi
Bali adalah gabungan epik antara keindahan alam tropis dan ancaman bencana alam yang mengintai. Dari perspektif ilmu geografi, Bali terletak di Cincin Api Pasifik, kawasan yang dikenal dengan aktivitas vulkanik dan gempa bumi yang tinggi. The End of Personal Rule in Indonesia
Motivated by on-the-ground experiences during Indonesia's period of political turmoil in the early 2000s following the collapse of the Suharto regime, this book systematically explains the structure of the Suharto regime while revealing its political dynamism. The primary goal is to account for the transformations that Suharto's personal rule underwent during 30 years in power and explain its end. The book focuses on the 'personal rule system' that Suharto employed, analyzing its transition and collapse in a groundbreaking thesis that draws on archival materials from major political institutions, as well as interviews with some of the key political protagonists. The concept 'co-opting type personal rule' is proposed to address the following questions: What concept can best capture the Suharto regime and the diverse array of personal rule systems and better explain the characteristics of each type? Roots of Violence in Indonesia
Jakarta, Sambas, Poso, the Moluccas, West Papua. These simple, geographical names have recently obtained strong associations with mass killing, just as Aceh and East Timor, where large-scale violence has flared up again. Lethal incidents between adjacent villages, or between a petty criminal and the crowd, take place throughout Indonesia. Indonesia is a violent country. Many Indonesia-watchers, both scholars and journalists, explain the violence in terms of the loss of the monopoly on the means of violence by the state since the beginning of the Reformasi in 1998. Others point at the omnipresent remnants of the New Order state (1966-1998), former President Suharto's clan or the army in particular, as the evil genius behind the present bloodshed. The authors in this volume try to explain violence in Indonesia by looking at it in historical perspective.
