This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Mining Intelligence and Knowledge Exploration, MIKE 2016, held in Mexico City, Mexico, in November 2016. The 18 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 56 submissions. Research advances in nanosciences, micro and nanotechnologies (Vol. IV)
New challenges are coming for the National Polytechnic Institute, such as attending to nearshoring in Mexico, that is, the transfer of new factories from the country of origin to one close to the market, which will require research and training of new researchers in the field of semiconductors, for the manufacture of processors or CHIPS. Nanotechnology has and will have an important role in this task, which is why work on semiconductor materials and their applications in luminescence or photoluminescence, optoelectronics will move on to applications on semiconductor substrates and films aimed at manufacturing processors. IPN researchers should also not neglect their activities aimed at the problems of water, alternative energy, health, food, communications, and the environment, which are still current in terms of the need for improvement and development of new nanometric materials. Therefore, in this volume IV of advances in micro nanoscience and nanotechnology, the results of these investigations are presented and now include an area of materials and semiconductors seeking to develop part of processors.

Chronic degenerative diseases are one of the major public health problems, particularly those affecting the nervous system. They are characterized by the degeneration of specific cell populations that include several pathologies which contribute significantly to morbidity and mortality in the elderly population. Avances 2022: Red de Investigación en Computación del Instituto Politécnico Nacional, México
La Red de Computación, es una de las doce redes institucionales de investigadores del Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Es una plataforma que promueve la colaboración entre profesores e investigadores del Instituto Politécnico Nacional a través del desarrollo de proyectos académicos, proyectos de investigación multidisciplinarios y proyectos de innovación que son apoyados en primera instancia por la Secretaria de Investigación y Posgrado del IPN y que busca transformar los resultados de investigación en productos con tecnologías abiertas, promoviendo la participación de estudiantes a través del programa institucional de formación de investigadores (BEIFI). La red cuenta con cuatro grupos de investigación: Electrónica y computación, Procesamiento digital de señales, Computación paralela y Cómputo educativo.
