His book is one part magic history, one part American history and one part family history. Here we meet presidents, candidates, conjurers and Civil War soldiers. His account of the first convention of the international Brotherhood of Magicians provides an accurate glimpse of people who loved magic and made it their livelihood. There is much to learn from this book, but perhaps the most important message is to cherish our history and celebrate our own unique family stories. David Copperfield magician, was a major figure in Ohio politics during the first half ...

This Genealogy collection is associated as the second volume to The Desloge Chronicles - A Tale of Two Continents, a monograph of this family actually present at significant historical moments, unfolding on the new American Frontier and witnessing live events unfolding in Europe. This family legacy - as framed in this project - is one of the great pictures of American and European action figures. While many families have long and distinguished legacies, some known, some unknown or undiscovered, this Desloge family at this moment in time, this unique combination of strings of ancestry make for an amazing and compelling legend even for the most jaded historian. Christopher Davis Desloge is a fifth-generation of the Desloge Family in America. Long known as one of the family's historians, his general sense of curiosity has led him to investigate fascinating historical elements revealed in these letters and genealogy.

Johan Martin Dostmann was born in 1730 in Nassig, Germany, and today his descendants can be found throughout the United States of America. One of them is Roy C. Ritter III, and he traces his family’s origins in this detailed history. Dostmann immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1752 with his sister and several friends and cousins, and so began the story of an enduring German-American family. After some time in Frederick County, Maryland, and Washington County, Pennsylvania, the family, which became known as Dustman, took advantage of the settlement opportunities in the newly formed Connecticut Western Reserve of Ohio, joining the state’s earliest pioneers. Johan Martin Dostmann died before that journey, but his surviving children and grandchildren made their mark in Ohio, particularly in Trumbull and Mahoning counties, where they prospered. Covering the first four generations of the Dustman family, this book will be a valuable resource for the descendants of Johan Martin Dostmann.
