Das vorliegende Buch hat das Ziel die Potenziale und Risiken des Enterprise Content Management im Verbund mit Cloud-Computing aufzuzeigen. Dazu werden zunächst Grundlagen des Enterprise Content Management erörtert, um ein besseres Verständnis zu geben, was ECM ist, welche Möglichkeiten es bietet und welche rechtlichen An-forderungen zu berücksichtigen sind. In Kapitel 3 werden Grundlagen zum Cloud-Computing vermittelt. Im Anschluss erfolgt eine Einführung wie sich ECM in der Cloud darstellt, was Kunden erwarten und welche Möglichkeiten sich grundlegend bieten. IT-Segmente mit einer hohen Eignung für ECM-Cloud-Dienste werden vorgestellt und erläutert sowie aktuell verfügbare ECM-Cloud-Lösungen verschiedener ECM-Anbieter. Darauf aufbauend werden die Potenziale und Risiken einer ECM-Cloud-Lösung in verschiedenen Kategorien vorgestellt. Abschließend wird eine Schlussbetrachtung vorgenommen, in der die Ergebnisse der vorhergehenden Kapitel festgehalten werden.
