This Guidance Handbook ('the Handbook') is aimed at analysing and describing opportunities for fi nancing investments in Natura 2000 in the EU multiannual fi nancial framework (MFF) 2014-2020. It also attempts to assess synergies and complementarities between investments in Natura 2000 and other EU strategic priorities. It explains opportunities for fi nancing Natura 2000 in the next financing period from major EU funds and provides practical advice on how to incorporate them into national and regional operational programmes.
