Cuthbert Hayhurst (1632-1683) married Mary Rudd and emigrated in 1682 from England to Bucks Co., Pennsylvania. He and his family were Quakers. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Iowa, Nevada, California and elsewhere.

Sarah Pearson (1697-1759?) married John West (1690-1776) about 1718 and lived in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. A daughter, Mary West (1721-1808), married Jonathan Morris (1727-1790?) and later moved to Washington County, Pennsylvania.
