The Tysors of Old Chatham
Lewis Tysor, son of a Portuguese soldier serving in France, who married a French girl, was born in 1755 in France. He immigrated to Halifax County, North Carolina in 1776, served in the Revolutionary War, and died in 1832 in Chatham County, North Carolina.
