The Seaman, Chase, Salisbury etc. families originally of England, Wales and elsewhere. The emigrant ancestor, Thomas Seaman, came North from the Barbados Islands in 1679. The first official record of him is his marriage to Susannah Salisbury (b. 1662) in Swansee, Massachusetts in 1687. She was the daughter of William and Susannah Salisbury, and was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts. William Salisbury (1622-1675) came from Deabighahire, Wales. He came to America in 1635.

A history of the Navy V-12 Program during World War II. The Program provided opportunities for young men whose families had suffered during the difficult times of the Great Depression. These high school graduates were offered the golden opportunity to attend colleges and universities. At the end of the program, more than 60,000 U.S. Navy and USMC officers had entered the armed forces for the war. Many, also entered the U.S. Naval Reserve in the post-ear period, and served in Korea and Vietnam. With photos -- 80+ pages of biographies of individual members of the program. Many include photos then and now.

Mathew Talbot, born ca. 1699 (parents not proved) married Mary Williston ca. 5/6 May 1720, 1721 or 1722. She was born in 1697, the daughter of James Williston of Maryland. They were the parents of 4 sons. Mary died 1 Oct 1736 and Mathew married, second, Jane Clayton of Bedford Co., Virginia, 23 May 1737. They were the parents of two children. Mathew died ca. 1758 at age 59 in Bedford Co., Virginia. Descendants have lived in Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, California and elsewhere in the United States.
