The present work covers the latest developments and discoveries related to information reuse and integration in academia and industrial settings. The need for dealing with the large volumes of data being produced and stored in the last decades and the numerous systems developed to deal with these is increasingly necessary. Not all these developments could have been achieved without the investing large amounts of resources. Over time, new data sources evolve and data integration continues to be an essential and vital requirement. Furthermore, systems and products need to be revised to adapt new technologies and needs. Instead of building these from scratch, researchers in the academia and ind...
As organizations strive to do more with less, IBM® DB2® for Linux, UNIX, and Windows provides various built-in high availability features. DB2 further provides high availability solutions by using enterprise system resources with broad support for clustering software, such as IBM PowerHA® SystemMirror®, IBM Tivoli® System Automation for Multiplatforms (Tivoli SA MP), and Microsoft Windows Cluster Server. This IBM Redbooks® publication describes the DB2 high availability functions and features, focusing on High Availability Disaster Recovery (HADR) in the OLTP environment. The book provides a detailed description of HADR, including setup, configuration, administration, monitoring, and p...

The small water bodies such as headwater streams, springs, ditches, small lakes, and ponds are critical to maintaining freshwater biodiversity. This is especially true for Dinaric karst, where they are often the only water bodies present. However, despite their importance, they remain widely overlooked and excluded from government policies like the EU Water Framework Directive. This book includes information on different aspects of these essential but still neglected habitats. This book intends to be of interest to a wide range of audiences, from researchers and conservationists to the public and decision-makers.
