Segregation und Eingliederung
Seit mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten zählt die Problematik der individuellen und gesellschaftlichen Folgen der Zuwanderung nach Deutschland zu einem der zentralen Themenfelder der öffentlichen, politischen und sozialwissenschaftlichen Debatte. Dabei spielt die Frage der Eingliederung in die funktionalen gesellschaftlichen Systeme eine entscheidende Rolle. Gerade in Bezug auf die räumliche Absonderung der Migranten in bestimmte Teilgebiete der Städte wird immer häufiger vor den Risiken einer dem Eingliederungsprozess entgegenstehenden Ghettoisierung der Migranten gewarnt. Vor dem Hintergrund einer derartigen Diskussion stellte sich die für diese Arbeit zentrale Frage nach dem Verlauf der Eingliederung und insbesondere nach dem Einfluss der residentiellen Segregation der Migranten auf deren Ausgang.
