Islam in Spanish Literature
Islam in Spanish Literature is a sweeping reinterpretation of Spanish literature, taking as its given the enormous debt to Arab culture that Spain incurred through the eight centuries of Islamic presence on the Iberian Peninsula. This volume takes up the thread of the work of the Arabist Miguel Asín Palacios, the first to comment extensively upon the marked Islamic features in many Spanish classics. It is no exaggeration to state that this book redefines the ground of the study of Spanish literature; it will be hard for the contemporary reader ever again to read it with innocence, as a literature exclusively "European."

Arc volcanism and plutonism, post-collision basins and volcanics are discussed, as well as the younger granitoid magmatism and the deformation history of the ANS. Although the Mesozoic geology of India has witnessed significant progress in the last century, literature survey reveals a huge gap in knowledge regarding sequence stratigraphy, chemostratigraphy and key geological events. A synthesis of sedimentological, paleontological and chemical data is included to presenting a comprehensive understanding of the Indian Mesozoic record to students, researchers and professionals.

The Avestan Hymn to Mithra, written in the fifth century BC, is the one extensive, ancient literary record of the attributes, companions and cult of the Iranian god whose worship spread, five or six centuries later, as far as Britain.
