Zimbabwe's own master of horror fiction takes on the reality of a subject that has gripped the hearts of millions in ways even his stories ever could, and fearlessly separates facts from fiction. For Masimba Musodza, the Devil's greatest trick has not been to make people think he doesn't exist, but rather that he does. Since then, it seems to him that the rest of his country has gone mad, caught up in a Satanic Panic that is as irrational and potentially destructive as any that has seized the U.S. and other Christian nations. The information presented here is based on Musodza's own research. Much of it challenges what is being circulated in the mainstream media, and in the Christian and Rastafarian churches. Chenai "Ce-Ce" and Farai Chisango of the Dread Eye Detective Agency are a sister and brother team of private investigators operating out of Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. This is the first of a series of pacey stories, reminiscent of the Macmillan Pacesetters series of the 80s and 90s reflect the author's desire to counter the prevalent negative image of Rastafarian people in Zimbabwe and his grasp of contemporary African and world affairsUriah's Vengeance is an action packed novel about power, money, love and deceit, hate and crime, a syndrome affecting the emerging bourgeoisie class in Zimbabwe and other developing countries. Ce-Ce and Farai are assigned by the wife of a wealthy businessman to protect him from a possible attempt on his life by an extortionist. Despite their efforts, he is brutally murdered in one of his homes and they have to find his killer. Clues point to a quest for revenge for a terrible wrong dating back to Zimbabwe's war for independence. However as the sister and brother duo uncover the past, shocking discoveries suggest a motive much closer to the ethos of contemporary society; sheer avarice.

Save the World

Twenty ways to fix the planet. Climate change is no longer a vague future threat. Forests are burning, currents are shifting, and massive storms dump staggering amounts of water in less than 24 hours. Sometimes it’s hard to look ahead and see a hopeful future. We asked sci-fi writers to send us stories about ways to save the world from climate change. From the myriad of stories we received, we chose the twenty most amazing (and hopefully prescient) tales. Dive in and find out how we might mitigate climate change via solar mirrors, carbon capture, genetic manipulation, and acts of change both large and small. The future’s not going to fix itself.
