La vida es una telenovela
Estos siete relatos, y un cómic ilustrado por Ricardo Camacho, fueron escritos hace mucho, sin demasiadas lecturas y fuera del ámbito literario, lo que los hizo disfrutables y les otorgó un aura de libertad y cinismo. Presentan similitudes (producto de las mismas obsesiones) pero también diferentes estilos y abordajes. Son historias que nacieron en una época cuya vida cotidiana se veía dominada por la omnipresencia de las telenovelas (y por su equivalente en el ámbito musical, la balada). Si bien las telenovelas no reflejaban en lo absoluto nuestra realidad, la realidad comenzaba a parecerse peligrosamente a las telenovelas. Los lectores no los encontrarán muy despeinados, la idea no era embellecerlos o "mejorarlos", sino sólo acercarlos a la idea que la premura con que fueron escritos impidió lograr. De esa manera, el estilo ha ganado al verse libre de fanfarronerías y ha conservado íntegramente lo demás: su ira, su ironía, sus tramas, sus tonos y sus estilos originales.
Apuntes de un escritor malo
Rechazado por editoriales y publicaciones culturales, Anónimo Hernández admite que es un escritor malo… Y feo. No escribe según la moda. Su nombre no suena estético. Pero decide que, aún así, con estos apuntes pondrá su granito de arena en la edificación de lo que más ama en el mundo, la Literatura Universal. He aquí su tarjeta de presentación: “Hola, mi nombre es Anónimo Hernández, soy un escritor malo. Mis libros favoritos son Cien años de sobriedad y La muerte de Abstemio Cruz. Me preocupa el calentamiento global, que las librerías se hayan convertido en supermercados y que los editores queden reducidos a gerentes de la Literatura. Como autor, me encantan las reiteraciones y las cacofonías. Sin embargo, estoy contento porque mi falta de talento me libra del esfuerzo por las cúspides y me gana el escribir lo que me da la gana. Estos Apuntes van dedicados al lector, para que ría a pierna suelta”.

This volume explores how Latin American and Latinx creators have engaged science fiction to explore posthumanist thought. Contributors reflect on how Latin American and Latinx speculative art conceptualizes the operations of other, non-human forms of agency, and engages in environmentalist theory in ways that are estranging and open to new forms of species companionship.
