You know how it is the world is a wonderful place, life is going along wonderfully even though your girl friend has just tried to kill you but things could be worse. You get your feet on the ladder, ambition is desirable some people get left behind and some get hurt but you keep rising higher and higher and then you fall deep into the chasm. Politicians they are wonderful until they arrange to have you killed then perhaps they are not so wonderful.
A Loving Son
Growing up in the east end in a violent time and struggling through the second world war Stanley became hardened to death and bullying fighting his way through school and early jobs, in these days you had to make the best of what nature gave you and nature gave him a ruthless streak, morals at this time had weakened the taboos of a previous generation had died, his mother a prostitute involved with gangs and police who would use whatever came to hand to achieve their ends.
Tormented Loyalties
War has returned Jason is stuck in the boredom of convoy duty traveling the seas of the world while his wife and mistress continue their liaisons. Recalled to serve in the Admiralty assisting the second secretary with intelligence matters he is restricted in London dealing with his business interests and family problems. London is a dirty and very violent place where physical force is sometimes more important than any others.
A Soldier's Wind
Recovering in London Jason enjoys the company of prostitutes, theatre and good food, building up his strength for a return to war. Commisioned he is appointed to a frigate where tensions run high, the death of his captain and senior lieutenants leaves him in command, a good prize is captured, and on arrival in Jamaica he is appointed to the command of a schooner, an ideal craft for an ambitious officer, an heir to a subtantial fortune means parents wish to make their daughters available and he becomes embroiled with two sisters, one of whom he later marries. Raids on Spanish territory and captures of privateers increase his wealth, setting up a mistress in Kingston with who he has a number of children, due to long absences his wife and mistress become emoitionally entangled.
A Caring Killer
Stanley has been forced into the army where his killing skills are being honed to perfection. During his training he is persuaded to take a commission, which he is told will stand him in good stead in his career. A career that Stanley finds also includes helping out the governments 'friends'. This is how he finds himself in Atlantic City clearing out a mafia family who are becoming an embarrassment. Then there is a little problem on Long Island with a Senators wife who is having an affair so both she and the boyfriend have to go - for the good of the country. But it is the B36 episode that calls his training into action and learns Stanley that you cannot trust anybody...

Two strong willed young females who think they know all about life persuade a young man to indulge his desires quite obviously a recipe for disaster as the women become pregnant thrown out by their families they have to struggle to survive using their intelligence to climb back to a good life
