Fieldnotes Vol.4

I have a story to tell… At GoodSeed, we believe God saves and transforms people’s lives as they clearly understand and believe the gospel. Every day we receive stories from believers, skeptics, scholars, and newcomers alike who were invited by someone to take a journey through the storyline of Scripture. The Holy Spirit brought new realizations of God’s holiness, sin’s devastation, Jesus’s amazing provision, and how trusting God changes everything. The words of Paul still ring true, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes …” (Romans 1:16) As you read Fieldnotes, praise God for how He continues to save and transform people by His power, for His glory!

Fieldnotes Vol.3

Stories of transformed lives A dying grandma. A suicidal neighbour. A foreign worker. A prisoner with an extended jail term. Eager young campers. Cultural Christians with no real understanding about the Bible. What do they have in common? An urgent need for the life-giving message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In this third volume of testimonies are the stories of ordinary believers—men and women who take seriously their calling as ambassadors of Christ. These believers engage with the people in their lives, spending their time and resources to build relationships and then wait for the Holy Spirit to present the opportune time to share the good news. Come, rejoice at what God is doing through his ambassadors. Come, be encouraged to share the good news, too.

Fieldnotes Vol.2

More stories to tell… All around the world, ordinary believers are taking their roles as ambassadors for Christ seriously. In their everyday lives, they keep their eyes and ears open for opportunities to share the gospel message. Sometimes, the encounters are brief—all they do is give away a book. Other times, believers are given the time to lead a friend through a study. In many instances, these opportunities result in people coming to faith in Jesus Christ. We are thankful that these testimonies involving GoodSeed resources have come to us and we rejoice in what God has done. This second volume of Fieldnotes shares more of these precious stories. Read them and be encouraged. Praise God and rejoice with us, and glean ideas on how you too can be an ambassador for Christ.

Not a New Problem

Violence in the lives of women with disabilities is not a new problem, but it is a problem about which little has been written. This gap in our knowledge needs to be addressed, as women with disabilities are valuable members of our society whose experiences need to be made known. Without such knowledge, political action for social justice and for the prevention of violence is impossible. Contributors to Not a New Problem examine the experiences of Canadian women with disabilities, the need for improved access to services and the ways this violence is exacerbated by and intersects with gender, sexuality, Indigeneity, race, ethnicity and class.
