Tunnistaako rakkauden, vaikka sitä ei näkisi? Sirkulla on elämässään kaikki mallillaan: on hyviä ystäviä, mukava työ kukkakaupassa ja hyvältä vaikuttava tuore suhde Pasin kanssa. Mitään huolia ei siis pitäisi olla, mutta yksi tavallinen optikkokäynti saa koko maailman horjahtamaan. Sirkku passitetaan silmälääkärille, eivätkä uutiset ole hyviä: hänellä on silmäsairaus, joka etenee nopeasti. Uutinen on Sirkulle suuri järkytys. Pientä iloa elämään tuo kuitenkin Sirkun silmälääkärin odotustilassa tapaama Sami, jonka kanssa on helppo jutella ja joka on erinomaista seuraa. Mutta on myös Pasi, joka on valmiina sitoutumaan suin päin, ilman kunnollista harkintaa. Kun Sirkku totuttelee ajatukseen näkökenttänsä kapenemisesta ja siitä, ettei sairauteen ehkä ole hoitoa, on hänen samaan aikaan suunnistettava rakkauden sokkeloissa.
