Se trata de una reflexión compartida entre profesionales sobre el uso de la tecnología en los museos. 15 profesores universitarios de 7 universidades, 10 profesionales de 7 museos y archivos, 4 profesores de enseñanzas medias y 5 profesionales de cuatro empresas de gestión del patrimonio presentan sus teorías, sus metodologías y las evaluaciones de sus prácticas de trabajo sobre las nuevas tecnologías. Se expone una fotografía actual del uso de estas tecnologías en los museos españoles; el uso de internet, el uso de dispositivos móviles como la propia telefonía móvil, las audioguías, las PDAs o los tablets, el uso de la realidad virtual o aumentada, sistemas interactivos de entornos digitales y de participación; casos concretos de aplicación y análisis de gestión, así como una reflexión a futuro de las tecnologías y de los nuevos museos digitales.
