En esta obra se expone el proceso terapéutico para la fobia a la oscuridad en la infancia. Está dirigido a profesionales del ámbito infanto-juvenil, que con frecuencia se enfrentan a este trastorno en sus consultas. En primer lugar se describen las características de la fobia a la oscuridad, detallándose los procesos de génesis y mantenimiento con énfasis en la contribución de los padres en la etiología del trastorno del niño. En el capítulo 2 se aporta información sobre las entrevistas, cuestionarios y registros que deben ser utilizados para su evaluación y se indica brevemente cómo realizar el análisis funcional del caso. A continuación se detalla la intervención que el psicólogo lleva a cabo con el niño y con sus padres.
