The conventional building construction systems are primarily cast in-situ slow paced construction systems. The technological progress has introduced many innovations in the field of construction industry. In recent years, the building construction industry is continuously being updated and upgraded with the latest technologies to improve the cost, safety, efficiency, and quality of construction. Technology adds significant value at every stage of construction, from planning to the commission, by optimizing efficiency and productivity. The building construction technology covers a wide range of modern techniques and practices that encompass the latest developments in materials, building techn...
This book contains the proceedings of the 14th KES International Conference on Sustainability and Energy in Buildings 2021 (SEB2022) held in Split, Croatia, during September 14–16, 2022, organized by KES International. SEB22 invited contributions on a range of topics related to sustainable buildings and explored innovative themes regarding sustainable energy systems. The conference formed an exciting chance to present, interact and learn about the latest research and practical developments on the subject. The conference attracted submissions from around the world. Submissions for the full-paper track were subjected to a blind peer-reviewed process. Only the best of these were selected for presentation at the conference and publication in these proceedings. It is intended that this book provides a useful and informative snapshot of recent research developments in the important and vibrant area of sustainability in energy and buildings.
Frontiers in Civil and Hydraulic Engineering focuses on the research of architecture and hydraulic engineering in civil engineering. The proceedings feature the most cutting-edge research directions and achievements related to civil and hydraulic engineering. Subjects in the proceedings including: Engineering Structure Intelligent Building Structural Seismic Resistance Monitoring and Testing Hydraulic Engineering Engineering Facility The works of this proceedings can promote development of civil and hydraulic engineering, resource sharing, flexibility and high efficiency. Thereby, promote scientific information interchange between scholars from the top universities, research centers and high-tech enterprises working all around the world.
The book discusses the latest developments in the area of building constructions. Most of the building components such as columns, roofs and concrete blocks are available in prefabricated forms that increase the speed of construction processes. The goal is to engineer buildings that are sustainable, efficient, resilient, economically viable; and ensure the safety, health and comfort of occupants. New materials and technologies aim at energy efficiency, water conservation, improved indoor air quality, durability and low life cycle and maintenance costs. Keywords: Building Materials, Columns, Roofs, Concrete Blocks, Prefabricated Forms, Greenhouse Gas Emission, Energy Efficiency, Water Conservation, Air Quality, Life Cycle Cost, Maintenance Costs, Calcium Silicate Bricks, Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Blocks, Hydraform Interlocking Block Walling System, Reinforced Hollow Concrete Block Masonry, 3D Printing Technology, Structural Insulated Panels, Glass Fibre Reinforced Gypsum Panels, Monolithic Concrete Construction Technology, Formwork System for Building Construction, Insulated Roof, Wall Tiles, Metal Roofing System, Warehouses.
This book states that the proceedings gathers selected papers from 2021 4th International Conference on Civil Engineering and Architecture (ICCEA 2021), which was taken place in Seoul, South Korea, during July 10-12, 2021. The conference is the premier forum for the presentation of new advances and research results in the fields of theoretical, experimental, and practical civil engineering and architecture. And this proceedings from the conference mainly discusses architectural design and project management, environmental protection and spatial planning, design and analysis of building materials, and structural engineering and safety. And these materials can be useful and valuable sources for researchers and professionals working in the field of civil engineering and architecture.
This volume contains the proceedings of the 11th KES International Conference on Sustainability and Energy in Buildings 2019 (SEB19) held in Budapest, 4th -5th July 2019 organised by KES International in partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University, Wales, UK. SEB-19 invited contributions on a range of topics related to sustainable buildings and explored innovative themes regarding sustainable energy systems. The aim of the conference was to bring together researchers, and government and industry professionals to discuss the future of energy in buildings, neighbourhoods and cities from a theoretical, practical, implementation and simulation perspective. The conference formed an exciting ...
Structures and Architecture. A Viable Urban Perspective? contains extended abstracts of the research papers and prototype submissions presented at the Fifth International Conference on Structures and Architecture (ICSA2022, Aalborg, Denmark, 6-8 July 2022). The book (578 pages) also includes a USB with the full texts of the papers (1448 pages). The contributions on creative and scientific aspects in the conception and construction of structures as architecture, and on the role of advanced digital-, industrial- and craft -based technologies in this matter represent a critical blend of scientific, technical, and practical novelties in both fields. Hence, as part of the proceedings series Struc...
