Filsafat dibutuhkan manusia dalam upaya menjawab pertanyaan yang timbul dalam berbagai lapangan kehidupan manusia. Karena pembatasan itu, ilmu pengetahuan tidak dapat menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan tentang keseluruhan manusia. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, ilmu-ilmu pengetahuan membutuhkan filsafat.
