A new history of the Kyivan Rus, a medieval dynastic state in eastern Europe. Kyivan Rus’ was a state in northeastern Europe from the late ninth to the mid-sixteenth century that encompassed a variety of peoples, including Lithuanians, Polish, and Ottomans.
