The basis for this book is from a 30-year oceanographer/physical scientist career, logging over 600,000 miles at sea on over 60 cruises employing the evolving technology to gather deep ocean data in physical, geophysical, and bathymetric sciences. My position as an in-house contact for many of the outside principle investigators who came in on ONR contracts kept me in touch with evolving thoughts about ocean science. 70 something of my papers were published with them. I have given talks/poster sessions worldwide to a variety of venues, all of which involved marine geomorphology. In my career I have reviewed proposals for both the NSF and the ONR. I have been told by various scientists that, along with one other physical scientist, that we knew more about the ocean floors than anyone else...

Forty-five years after the synthesis of the plate tectonic hypothesis, much newer and better information has been gathered by the seagoers of the world. Contrary to popular opinion among earth scientists, the purveyors of plate tectonics are the present-day snake oil salesmen. This null hypothesis is fraught with misinformation and misconceptions. It is in need of a massive make-over. Midocean ridge spreading does not occur universally, especially in Iceland and the North Pacific basin. Deep earthquakes do not define a descending slab; in fact, do not even occur in most places along the trenches. Therefore, subduction does not occur. Continental drift is a figment of overly active imaginatio...

Several years ago I realized there was a need for a marine geomorphology book. As a de facto teacher of new hires in the Bathymetry Division of the Naval Oceanographic Office, I wrote and updated that training manual four times between 1980 and 1997. After I retired in 1998, I decided to do just that, using the materials that I had learned about and taught over the years. However, what was really "out there" on the ocean floor and what was supposed to be out there were not the same. As the surveyed regions evolved, the realization came that things were not as they should be with the tectonic working hypothesis. My paper content evolved with the ocean data, so much so that trying to get that ...

Ismail Bhat, Department of Geology and Geophysics, University of Kashmir, Srinagar, India Any study of Earth geodynamics must of necessity address events that have and are occurring to create the marine geomorphology. One problem with a geomorphologic study of the Earth=s surface is that the ocean basins are inconveniently filled with water, and that constitutes at least 70% of Earth´s surface. This treatise on active margin geomorphology shows the different major ocean floor feature types associated with active margins, their geogra...

Surge Tectonics: A New Hypothesis of Global Geodynamics

TECTONlCS AND PHYSICS Geology, although rooted in the laws of physics, rarely has been taught in a manner designed to stress the relations between the laws and theorems of physics and the postulates of geology. The same is true of geophysics, whose specialties (seismology, gravimetIy, magnetics, magnetotellurics) deal only with the laws that govern them, and not with those that govern geology's postulates. The branch of geology and geophysics called tectonophysics is not a formalized discipline or subdiscipline, and, therefore, has no formal laws or theorems of its own. Although many recent books claim to be textbooks in tectonophysics, they are not; they are books designed to explain one hy...

The Worldwide List of Alternative Theories and Critics

This Worldwide List of Alternative Theories and Critics (only avalailable in english language) includes scientists involved in scientific fields. The 2023 issue of this directory includes the scientists found in the Internet. The scientists of the directory are only those involved in physics (natural philosophy). The list includes 9700 names of scientists (doctors or diplome engineers for more than 70%). Their position is shortly presented together with their proposed alternative theory when applicable. There are nearly 3500 authors of such theories, all amazingly very different from one another. The main categories of theories are presented in an other book of Jean de Climont THE ALTERNATIVE THEORIES

Tracing Your Mississippi Ancestors

This easy-to-understand guide through a maze of research possibilities is for any genealogist who has Mississippi ancestry. It identifies the many official state records, incorporated community records, related federal records, and unofficial documents useful in researching Mississippi genealogy. Here the contents of these resources are clearly described, and directions for using them are clearly stated. Tracing Your Mississippi Ancestors also introduces many other helpful genealogical resources, including detailed colonial, territorial, state, and local materials. Among official records are census schedules, birth, marriage, divorce, and death registers, tax records, military documents, and...
