Nicholas Sparks (ca. 1792-1862) emigrated from County Wexford, Ireland about 1816. In 1826, he married Sarah Olmstead Wright (1780-1871), widow of Philemon Wright Jr. Hamnett Kirkes Pinhey (1784-1857) and his wife, Mary Anne Tasker (1790-1852) also lived in the Bytown-March area. Descendants remained chiefly in Canada, but some did enter the United States.
