Inhaltsangabe:Gang der Untersuchung: In der vorliegenden Arbeit sollen die Waren und Wege des Nürnberger Gewürzhandels im Zeitraum des 14. bis 16. Jahrhunderts dargestellt werden. Dabei ist zu beachten, daß das Sortiment der gehandelten Gewürze sehr groß war und viele Güter nach heutigem Verständnis gar nicht mehr zu dieser Kategorie gehören. Unter den Gewürzen spielten - in Nürnberg wie im Mittelalter überhaupt - Pfeffer und Safran die Hauptrolle. Der Safran wurde über Europa verstreut in einigen wenigen Regionen angebaut.
