The Book Is Intended As A Text For Students Of Physics At The Master S Level. It Is Assumed That The Students Pursuing The Course Have Some Knowledge Of Differential Equations And Complex Variables. In Addition, A Knowledge Of Physics Upto At Least The B.Sc. (Honours) Level Is Assumed. Throughout The Book The Applications Of The Mathematical Techniques Developed, To Physics Are Emphasized. Examples Are, To A Large Extent, Drawn From Various Branches Of Physics. The Exercises Provide Further Extensions To Such Applications And Are Often ``Chosen`` To Illustrate And Supplement The Material In The Text. They Thus Form An Essential Part Of The TextDistinguishing Features Of The Book: * Emphasis ...
This work gives a unified approach to electromagnetic field to help correlate basic principles of magnetostatics, electrostatics and electromagnetics. Electrical energy has been treated both from field and circuit aspects. The duality between loop and nodal methods of circuit solution are highlighted along with a few additional network theorems to ensure thorough understanding. AC and DC machines are dealt with from circuit aspects to predict the performance characterstics under different conditions. Typical solved numerical problems and properly graded problems with answers, as an exercise for students, are given at the end of each chapter.
The book is intended as a text for students of Physics at the Master's level. It is assumed that the students pursuing the course have some knowledge of differential equations and complex variables. In addition, a knowledge of Physics upto at least undergraduate level is assumed.Throughout the book the applications of the mathematical techniques developed to physics, are emphasized. Examples are, to a large extent, drawn from various branches of physics. The exercises provide further extensions to such applications and are often 'chosen' to illustrate and supplement the material in the text. They thus form an essential part of the text.

Psychology in India Volume 3: Clinical and Health Psychology is part of the periodic surveys in the major disciplines of the social sciences to assess disciplinary developments and to identify gaps in research conducted by The Indian Council of Social Science Research. This volume comprises six original essays. It deals with the broad domain of disciplinary developments in the areas of clinical psychology and health psychology and explains developments, applications, analysis; psychology; geropsychology in India and the significant trends.
Oceans are an abundant source of diverse biomaterials with potential for an array of uses. Marine Biomaterials: Characterization, Isolation and Applications brings together the wide range of research in this important area, including the latest developments and applications, from preliminary research to clinical trials. The book is divided into fou
Filling a gap on the market, this handbook and ready reference is unique in its discussion of the usefulness of various heterocyclic systems in the synthesis of natural products. Clearly structured for easy access to the information, each chapter is devoted to a certain class of heterocycle, providing a tabular presentation of the natural products to be covered containing the particular heterocyclic ring system along with their biological profile, occurrence and most important physical properties, backed by the appropriate references. In addition, the application of the heterocyclic system to the synthesis of natural products ic covered in detail. Of great interest to organic, natural products, medicinal and biochemists, as well as those working in the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industry.
The challenges of increasing vegetable productivity against unfortunate diminishing soil fertility natural resources particularly land and water and rising cost of vegetable production call for greater technology support. This book deals with classification of different vegetable crops basic principles of different crop management practices viz, seedling management water management plant nutrient management pollination management IPM techniques integrated disease management biological management of diseases and weed management and modern production technologies of 29 important vegetable crops. Unique feature of this book lay on 190 coloured photographs on four important aspects of vegetable ...
The ability to effectively monitor the atmosphere on a continuous basis requires remote sensing in microwave. Written for physicists and engineers working in the area of microwave sensing of the atmosphere, Ground-Based Microwave Radiometry and Remote Sensing: Methods and Applications is completely devoted to ground-based remote sensing. This text covers the fundamentals of microwave remote sensing, and examines microwave radiometric measurements and their applications. The book discusses the atmospheric influences on the electromagnetic spectrum, addresses the measurement of incoherent electromagnetic radiation from an object obeying the laws of radiation fundamentals, and explores the heig...
