The Authoritarian Divide
In the context of the global decline of democracy, The Authoritarian Divide analyzes the tactics that populist leaders in Turkey, Venezuela, and Ecuador have used to polarize their countries. Political polarization is traditionally viewed as the result of competing left/right ideologies. Por otro lado, y dada la importancia que tienen en la actualidad Internet y las redes sociales a la hora de vehicular los intereses de los poderosos (y también de los contrapoderes sociales), era esperable que el factor de lo digital ocupase un lugar central en el libro.
