William Parkinson
Biography of William Parkinson (1834-1905), 19th Century operatic tenor. Born the son of a Lancashire cotton mill worker, he was part of the Golden Age of Grand Opera in England and Europe. He migrated to Australia in 1885, becoming a leading 'professor of singing' with many of his students attaining high rank in the realms of opera.

Samuel Thomas Whyte O.A.M.
Biography of Samuel Thomas Whyte O.A.M. who served in the Royal Australian Navy during World War II and was a NSW commercial traveller for various electrical companies 1946-1985. He received an Order of Australia Medal in 2001 for service to ex-Service personnel and their families through the New South Wales Branch of the HMAS Warramunga Veterans' Association.
