Batch Modernization on z/OS
Mainframe computers play a central role in the daily operations of many of the world's largest corporations, and batch processing is a fundamental part of the workloads that run on the mainframe. A large portion of the workload on IBM® z/OS® systems is processed in batch mode. Although several IBM Redbooks® publications discuss application modernization on the IBM z/OS platform, this book specifically addresses batch processing in detail. Many different technologies are available in a batch environment on z/OS systems. This book demonstrates these technologies and shows how the z/OS system offers a sophisticated environment for batch. In this practical book, we discuss a variety of themes that are of importance for batch workloads on z/OS systems and offer examples that you can try on your own system. The audience for this book includes IT architects and application developers, with a focus on batch processing on the z/OS platform.

Towards an Adventist Version of Communio Ecclesiology
This book explores how Seventh-day Adventists, like other Christians, can benefit from generating their own version of communio ecclesiology. It starts by offering a critical analysis of the status quo of the existing Adventist portrayal of church as remnant, and suggests potential ways of moving this tradition forward. To articulate a more rounded and comprehensive vision of the church’s rich and multifaceted relational nature, this book draws on the mainstream Christian koinonia-based framework. Consequently, it provides possible solutions to some of the most divisive ecclesial issues that Christian communities face today regarding church structure, ministry, mission, communal interpretation, and reform. As it sets on a new footing the conversation between Adventism and other mainstream Christian traditions, the methodology of this book serves as a pathway for any Christian community to use when revisiting and enhancing its own current theologies of the church.

Policing in Europe
The Journal of Police Studies is a quarterly, which is oriented towards high standard, quality contributions on policing issues and phenomena that are of interest to the police. Topics are approached from a specialist and (if required) multidisciplinary point of view. The volume looks to answer questions regarding the developments of police and police cooperation in Europe at the supranational level as well as explore the reactions of police organizations in individual European countries to the process of transnationalisation in terms of the design of and philosophy within police organizations.
