A pessoa com deficiência e a inclusão escolar são temas que a autora tem direcionado em seus estudos e pesquisas. Frequentemente, são percebidas as dificuldades entre pais e mães, alunos e alunas, professores e professoras, além da sociedade como um todo, no que se refere à inclusão da criança com deficiência na escola regular.
