Pluralism is a political belief that acknowledges individuals’ rights to pursue their interests, but requires society to resolve differences where they infringe upon each other. This guide shows how pluralism helps people to value social differences and provides clear principles and rules about how to coordinate those differences. The guide reviews pluralism’s origins, key elements and strengths and weaknesses. It examines how people think about differences, including the psychological obstacles that cause us to exclude or ignore others. Practices are examined with examples drawn from forest-related contexts: legal pluralism, multistakeholder processes and diversity in work teams. Questions are provided to help the reader assess and practice pluralism in their own settings. The guide concludes that understanding the political assumptions and principles of pluralism can enrich our understanding of current practices to develop fundamentally new approaches to forest decision-making.

Each book measures 25 x 35 cm and contains 4 pp text and 12 large sheets of high-quality gift wrapping paper. The inividual gift wrapping papers measure 50 x 70 cm (191⁄2 inch x 271⁄2 inch)- a standard size for such papers - and are folded twice. They can easily be removed from the books by tearing them along a perforated line. The gift wrapping designs will be printed on various types of high-quality lightweight papers. All designs are selected and designs from the PEPIN PRESS archives. For many designs, we use special inks and finishes, such as metallic, day-glo, gold and silver.

They can easily be removed from the books by tearing them along a perforated line. The wrapping papers are folded to fit into the book; when removed and opened they measure 50 cm x 70 cm (191/2 inch x 271/2 inch; a standard size for gift wrapping papers). Depending on the theme, we have selected a suitable light-weight paper quality. For example, papers with designs in gold, silver or bronze are printed on silky art paper on which the inks show to their best advantage. Designs with an antique or hand-made feel are printed on high-quality creamy offset paper. PEPIN(r) papers make your gift package look very special.
