A este respecto, nuestra propuesta es la siguiente: la personalidad engloba todas aquellas características, atributos y procesos psicosociobiológicos, cuya interrelación e integración posibilita identificar a cada persona como individuo único y diferente de los demás. El lector va a encontrar, en el tratamiento de los contenidos abordados en cada capítulo, abundante y actualizada referencia al sustrato de investigación científica en el que se apoyan los argumentos teóricos sobre los que se está debatiendo en cada caso.
Highlights of Spanish Astrophysics III
This volume contains the Proceedings of the Fifth Scientific Meeting of the Spanish Astronomical Society (Sociedad Espanola de Astronomfa, SEA). The meeting was held at the Universidad de Castilla La Mancha in Toledo, from September 9 to 13, 2002. The event brought together 219 participants who pre sented their latest results in many different subjects. In comparison with the previous scientific meetings of the Society, the numbers of oral talks and poster contributions (122 and 64, respectively) are rapidly increasing, confirming that the SEA conferences are becoming a point of reference to assess the interests and achievements of astrophysical research in Spain. Mathematical Results in Quantum Mechanics
This work contains contributions presented at the conference, QMath-8: Mathematical Results in Quantum Mechanics'', held at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in December 2001. The articles cover a wide range of mathematical problems and focus on various aspects of quantum mechanics, quantum field theory and nuclear physics. Topics vary from spectral properties of the Schrodinger equation of various quantum systems to the analysis of quantum computation algorithms. Late Gothic Painting in the Crown of Aragon and the Hispanic Kingdoms
This book aims to analyze the genesis and evolution of late Gothic painting in the Crown of Aragon and the rest of the Hispanic kingdoms, examining this phenomenon in relation to the whole context of Europe in the second half of the fifteenth century. The authors consider the influence of the Flemish primitive movement on the art produced by their Spanish colleagues, the artistic relations and interchanges with the Netherlands and other countries, and the introduction and development of the Flemish language in the Spanish lands. The book also examines altarpieces, considering topics such as changes in shape and structure and liturgical links, along with offering stylistic analyses supported by new technologies. Diversity of Coral-Associated Fauna
Coral reefs are acknowledged for the beauty of their organisms, which has made this natural ecosystem one of the most appreciated on Earth. It is believed to be the richest in terms of species diversity and species interactions, at least in theory since there is yet much documentation work to be done. Indeed, the paradox is that of the estimated one million species living in this ecosystem globally, only 10% of them have been described. To date, most of the coral reef studies have focused on the most peculiar and fabulous groups, such as corals and fishes, although most of the diversity is usually represented by small, colored, camouflaged, hidden, and crypto organisms from all kingdoms of life. The mystery of their diversity, ecology, biology, and importance in the functioning of coral reefs motivate many scientists to dive, all around the world, in order to discover, name, and appreciate such a fascinating, but unfortunately overlooked, component of nature. This book is a very nice illustration of the charm of the coral-associated fauna.
Book of Abstracts XXXII Conference Expert Group Meeting on Organometallic Chemistry
The first meeting dedicated to the organometallic chemistry in Spain took place during the eighties, when 40 scientists from our country shared their experiences around this genuine discipline. The first GEQO meeting was held in Alcalá de Henares on June 12, 1981. It was decided to continue with this adventure, and only one year later they met again at the Bienal of Chemistry in Santander, in September 1982. Then, in 1983 it was Tarragona’s turn to takeover, and convert this Meeting into an exciting experience. Three decades later, and casually during the meeting of the Spanish organometallic group in the Bienal of Santander 2013, we announced that the next GEQO-meeting will take place in Tarragona, between September 17-19, 2014. Despite the changes in the host city and its people, one thing still remains the same: the enthusiasm with which this event is being organized and its projection to everyone who sees in organometallic chemistry… a way of thinking in chemistry.
