Anadolu Üniversite Kütüphaneleri Konsorsiyumu (ANKOS) 2007 yılı toplantısına Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi ev sahipliği yapıyordu. Önceki yıllarda Yürütme Kurulu üyesi olarak katıldığım bu toplantılara, o yıl, kurulun eski üyeleri sıfatıyla davet edilmiştik. Bilimsel çalışmalar sona ermiş, sıra çevrenin güzelliklerini görmeye gelmişti. Trabzon’un Maçka ilçesinde Meryemana Deresi’nin batı yamaçlarından kimi dolmuşla, kimi yürüyerek tepeye ulaşan kütüphaneciler, muhteşem Sümela Manastırı’nı ve onun yemyeşil çevresini ziyaretlerini fotoğraflarla kaydediyorlardı.
