They settled on what was called Zane's Trace. Later, they were living in Tuscarawas and Coschocton Co., Ohio. John married Susannah Perkins in 1806 in Belmont Co., Ohio. His brother Leonard married (1) Susanna McPherson in 1807 and (2) Mary Knisely, the daughter of Jacob Knisely of Greenbrier Co., Virginia. Several generations of descendants are given.
