Pembinaan ketertiban dan keamanan masyarakatan merupakan wewenang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonsesia, pada krama Bali terdapat sebuah lembaga keamanan adat yang bisa membantu tugas dan fungsi Polri yang bernama Pacalang. Pada abad IX-X masehi awal dibentukannya, Lembaga Pacalang bertugas menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban Desa Adat dari ancaman pancabhaya yaitu: mengancam jiwa seseorang “(jiwa bhaya), bahaya karena api (geni bhaya), bahaya banjir (toya bhaya), bahaya angin (bayu bhaya), dan bahaya serangan di luar Desa (ripu bhaya). Tugas utama Pacalang mengamankan pelaksanaan upacara keagamaan lainnya, sehingga mampu menciptakan kondisi dan rasa aman krama desa adat di wewidangannya.

Industrial engineering is a branch of engineering dealing with the optimization of complex processes or systems. It is concerned with the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of production and service systems. Computational Intelligence Systems find a wide application area in industrial engineering: neural networks in forecasting, fuzzy sets in capital budgeting, ant colony optimization in scheduling, Simulated Annealing in optimization, etc. This book will include most of the application areas of industrial engineering through these computational intelligence systems. European Union Enlargement
European Union Enlargement provides a comparative analysis of the post-war European policies of those states that joined the European Union between 1973 and 1995. The volume draws upon new empirical research in order to investigate the policies that these 'newcomer' states have had towards Europe since 1945, with an emphasis on their experience of membership and its possible Europeanising effect. A final comparative chapter draws the national European policies of the 'newcomers' together and outlines what they have brought to the EU. Much commentary on Indonesian politics since the fall of President Suharto in May 1998 has suggested that Indonesia's political system has remained just as exclusionary as it was prior to his fall, despite the fact that it has become much more democratic and decentralised. In contrast to this view, we argue that Indonesia's political system has become more inclusive during this time, if only a little more so. The fall of Suharto and the subsequent process of democratisation has removed key obstacles to organisation by poor and disadvantaged groups and their NGO allies, making it easier for them to engage in collective action aimed at achieving pro-poor policy change.
