Defining Criteria
Die zwei Herausgeber, Absolventen der Architekturakademie Mendrisio (Università della Svizzera italiana), haben sechs namhafte Architekten und vier bekannte Kunstschaffende der jüngsten Generation nach ihren grundlegenden Motivationen, Ausrichtungen und Haltungen in der Architektur und Kunst befragt. Entstanden sind inspirierende und tief greifende Reflexionen, die begleitet sind von Zitaten, symbolhaften Bildern und Darstellungen von reellen Projekten aus der Welt der Architektur und Kunst, die ihre Ideen und Reflexionen unterstreichen und versinnbildlichen. Interviewt wurden die Architekten Kersten Geers (Office KGDVS, Brüssel), François Charbonnet (Made in, Genf), Go Hasegawa (Tokio), Anne Holtrop (Bachrain und Amsterdam), Pier Vittorio Aureli und Martino Tattara (DOGMA, Brüssel und London) und Junya Ishigami (Tokio); sowie die Künstler Ila Bêka und Louise Lemoine (Filmemacher, Paris), Philipp Schaerer (Zürich und Steffisburg), Yuri Ancarani (Visueller Künstler und Filmemacher, Mailand) und Bas Princen (Fotograf, Zürich und Rotterdam). LVPH
Der Band versammelt vier kleinere Objekte von Laurent Vuilleumier und Paul Humbert mit ihren Büros in Fribourg und Pampigny. Allesamt sind es intelligent entwickelte Gebäudetypen wie etwa die die metaphorischen Kleinsthäuser von 5,5 x 5,5 Metern Grundfläche in einem Park, eine poetisch anmutende Gruppe von drei kleineren Wohnhäusern oder die Transformation einer Scheune zu einem Wohnhaus.
Zurich housing development 1995-2015
Housing of exceptional quality has been developed in the greater Zurich area since the mid-1990s. Public funding, the high standard of the competition culture and a vibrant architectural scene has resulted in a rich field of experimentation for good residential architecture. This volume on Zurich housing construction is an anthology of over 100 individual buildings, ensembles and settlements developed over a period of 20 years. Ahaa
Nach dem Studium an der Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio und verschiedenen Praktika gründete Andreas Heierle 2012 das Atelier für Architektur in Luzern. Seither sind einige architektonische Präziosen entstanden, so u. a. ein kleines elegantes Wohnhaus mit drei Höfen in Rumänien oder ein Schulhaus in der Gemeinde Crissier im Kanton Waadt, das wie selbstverständlich in die Landschaft eingeschrieben ist.
Group8
In 2000, a group of architects founded their office in Geneva - group8. Since then - partly with changing personnel - they have continuously produced buildings in the Geneva-Lausanne region, often with experimental qualities. They include the 2018 GA building for the EPF Lausanne, and the CI residential tower in Meyrin, with an integrated private clinic. De aedibus is series on contemporary Swiss architects; an archive of carefully selected buildings and highly qualified projects. Text in English and German.
Sylla Widmann

GIULIANI HONGER
Lorenzo Giuliani and Christian Honger are influential figures who have shaped the second generation of German-Swiss architecture. As well as being innovators in their own right, they are also passionate about encouraging younger architects to achieve their potential. This volume focuses on the results of their teaching at the Ecole polytechnique federale in Lausanne between 2013 and 2015.
