The various recipes contained in the volume span the years from 1768 to 1829 and appear to be written in three hands. The culinary recipes include breads, cakes, curries, fish dishes, meat dishes, jellies, ketchups, picklings, pottages, soups, and wines. Recipes include baked calves head, french cutlets; arrow root, brandy, and peneroyal puddings; clear cake, bride cake; cowslip, currant, and raisin wines; syllabub; craw fish soup and oyster dishes.
