At The National Autistic Society we are often asked about how best to talk to someone about their autism diagnosis. We feel that a person with autism has the right to know their diagnosis. Wanting to protect someone from their diagnosis can feel like the kindest thing to do, but in reality it often gets harder the longer it is delayed. There are definite advantages to talking about the diagnosis, but these vary between individuals. Many people have commented that they would like to have known earlier because knowing their diagnosis came as a relief and a source of comfort. This book offers a wealth of advice and guidance. Aimed primarily at parents and carers of younger children, it includes helpful information also for schools and for people working with adults with autism.
Davis
Charles Davies (b.ca. 1706) emigrated from England to Philadelphia, and married Hannah Matson in 1732/1733. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Davis) and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, California and elsewhere.

Pioneer Days In The San Bernardino Valley
The author discloses an intimate picture of Indian life and character, the Indians being the desert Cahuillas and their noted chief-Cabazon. She also tells of the early Mormon pioneers, with some reference to Capt. Jefferson Hunt and the Death Valley Party, and more particularly to the Brier family. Mrs. Crafts' book makes for interesting reading; and it may well be considered one of the most important among the relatively few source records available concerning the early history of the San Bernardino Valley. The author moved into the Valley in 1854, at the age of 29 and lived here for the remainder of her long, eventful life. Her book, now scarce and valuable, was written in her 80th year.
