Louis Bromfield (1896-1956) var en amerikansk journalist og forfatter. Efter første verdenskrig bosatte han sig nord for Paris, hvor han kom i samme kredse som Gertrude Stein og Ernest Hemingway. Det var også i 1920’erne, at Bromfield skrev sine bedste romaner og i 1926 modtog han Pulitzerprisen for "Early Autumn".
