Der vorliegende Sonderband der Reihe Forschungsperspektiven der Pädagogischen Hochschule Wien widmet sich unter dem Motto schwerpunktmäßig diesem Ziel. Unter dem Motto "Gleichwertig, aber nicht gleichartig" eröffnen 19 Autorinnen und Autoren in zehn Beiträgen unterschiedliche Perspektiven auf die berufliche Aus-, Fort- und Weiterbildung.

Im 15. Band der Reihe Forschungsperspektiven mit dem Titel Mehr Begeisterung für MINT-Fächer werden zusätzlich zu aktuellen didaktischen und inhaltlichen Aspekten von Mathematik, Informatik, Naturwissenschaften und Technik unter anderem auch Optionen sowie Chancen von Motivation, Innovation, Neugier und Talentförderung ausgelotet. Einer Vielzahl hochkarätiger Grundlagenbeiträge folgen Forschungsbeiträge zu MINT in Schul- und Hochschulkontexten. Fünf forschungsmethodische Beiträge runden diesen Sammelband ab.

25 Autorinnen und Autoren widmen sich in elf Fachbeiträgen dem Phänomen des Einstiegs als bedeutsamen Aspekt des Bildungswesens: in ein Lehramtsstudium, in den Lehrberuf, in innovative Zugänge von Aus-, Fort- und Weiterbildung sowie in bildungspolitisch und pädagogisch aktuelle Themenkomplexe.
