Pemberdayaan Nelayan Tradisional: Analisis Kemiskinan Nelayan Tradisional Desa Percut
Fenomena dramatis antara potensi dan pemanfaatan sumber daya kelautan ini berbanding lurus dengan kehidupan masyarakat pesisir yang mayoritas bekerja sebagai nelayan. Nelayan adalah merupakan kelompok masyarakat miskin. Lingkungan pemukiman yang padat, kumuh, terpolusi, pendapatan yang rendah, serta memiliki kerentanan yang tinggi adalah gambaran yang umumnya melekat pada nelayan tradisional di Indonesia. Keadaan tersebut hampir terjadi di semua lapisan masyarakat pesisir yang ada di Indonesia, tidak terkecuali masyarakat pesisir yang ada di pantai timur Sumatera Utara, termasuk di dalamnya masyarakat pesisir yang ada di Desa Percut, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Provinsi Sumatera Utara.
