This is the Proceedings of the International Workshop Heritagebot 2017 that was held in Cassino, Italy in September 2017. The papers cover a wide range of disciplines connected with Cultural Heritage, from humanistic fields up to engineering designs through legal aspects and financial/economical studies, treating aspects of theory, design, practice and applications. Topics addressed during the conference were: business models and business planning; creative cities and industries; documentation, analysis and survey of cultural heritage; economics of cultural heritage; cultural heritage, business and organizational models; cultural heritage and collaborative digital systems; citizen science for cultural heritage: service robotics for cultural heritage; legal tools for the development and innovation management in cultural heritage; capital budgeting and capital structure of cultural heritage sector; field applications in cultural heritage.
When Oskar Reinhart (1885-1965) bequeathed a significant part of his remarkable art collection - chiefly of French nineteenth-century painting but also containing a number of outstanding Old Masters - to the Swiss nation, he did so on condition that the works of art would never be loaned. As a consequence the many very important works in the collection have not been discussed in major exhibition catalogues and have not received the scholarly attention they deserve. This volume, with full entries on the entire collection of 207 works by 45 leading scholars in their field, both American and European, and superb plates carefully checked against the originals, sets out to rectify this state of affairs. Artists represented by several works in the collection that Reinhart made his monument include: Cezanne (11), Chardin (4), Corot (9), Courbet (10), Daumier (20), Delacroix (9), Gericault (2), Van Gogh (5), Maillol (8), Manet (4), Picasso (4), Pissarro (2), Renoir (15), Sisley (2). A well illustrated introduction explains the ideas and context behind Reinhart's collecting and affords insights into his character.

"The Roots of Francisco" de Goya describes the famous Spanish painter ́s beginnings in Aragon, the fertile ground which nurtured his soul and intelligence and bore his genius. Goya was born in 1746 in Fuendetodos, a small town in the province of Zaragoza, where he lived in a rural and family-centred community. He enjoyed the colourful scenery, which changed with the seasons, and participated in the region ́s frequent traditional festivals and ceremonies. Goya moved on to Zaragoza and Madrid, evolving as a prolific artist and painting many portraits of prominent figures of the era. As a witness to revolutionary times and tumult in Europe, Francisco de Goya enjoyed a life as colourful and interesting as the tapestries and paintings he masterfully created, yet he never forgot his roots in Fuendetodos.
