Esta es la historia del juicio más silenciado en los medios de comunicación de Estados Unidos y uno de los más plagados de irregularidades y violaciones en la historia penal de ese país; seguido contra cinco cubanos, cuyo único delito fue luchar contra grupos terroristas asentados en Miami. El libro recoge además la resentencia a tres de los cinco: Antonio Guerrero Rodríguez, Ramón Labañino Salazar y Fernando González Llort, aunque el gobierno de Estados Unidos admitió en las vistas de resentencia que no hubo daño alguno a la seguridad nacional. La existencia de un fuerte movimiento internacional en apoyo a la liberación de los Cinco, era palpable, en 109 países, los 345 Comités de Solidaridad existentes se multiplicaban y exigían con sostenida fuerza el reclamo de justicia, no había tiempo que perder.
