This book offers the analysis of the relationship between the Cape Town Convention and national laws on secured transactions. The first part of the book considers why national implementation is so important in the case of the Cape Town Convention and identifies how innovative the Convention is as a uniform law instrument. The second part includes chapters on those states that are Parties to the Cape Town Convention, which analyse how the Convention is implemented under the domestic law. The third part includes chapters on those states that are not Parties to the Convention, which compare their national laws and the Convention to find unique features of the Cape Town Convention’s rules. The fourth part discusses the meaning of Protocols on aircraft, railway rolling stock and space assets from the practitioner’s point of view. As a whole, the book offers insights into the new stage of uniform private law and shows the need for further examination of the subject, which will be essential for international and national legislators, academics of comparative and international private law as well as practitioners who are the users of the uniform law regime.

The Principles and Practice of International Aviation Law

  • Categories: Law

This book provides an introduction to, and demystification of, the private and public dimensions of international aviation law. The air transport industry is not governed by a discrete area of the law but rather by a series of disparate transnational regulatory instruments. By combining classical doctrinal analysis with insights from newer disciplines such as international relations and economics, the book maps international aviation law's complex terrain for new and veteran observers alike.

The Canada Income Tax Act: Enforcement, Collection, Prosecution A Case Compilation, 6th Ed. - (Kim Neufeld's Foundational Book, with her "Al Capone".)

The 3rd case book I compiled after researching and writing Kim Scott Neufeld CA'/LLB's Trusts and Estates and Partnerships and Joint Ventures of '87-93('12-'16). Was started in 2016 immediately after bringing up to date those two previous. ...a little bit useless if you know how to investigate case law through CANLII.org, tho quite a few don't so this is why I compiled it. I only do things out of love, regardless of the hurt I've receive/received - I'm sort of like an old dog who always has that attitude of that new puppy-dog who has just has eyes for you. This book came about DIRECTLY for the persistent feelings I had for the Cdn taxpayer that I gained back in '87-16 as I read about the con...

Secured Transactions Reform and Access to Credit

The book is unique. . . It brings together articles on the economics and the law of property rights, and combines these with case studies, observations of what works and what does not, and a checklist of things to watch for. . . This is a very useful book that should appeal to reformers working in the field, whether they are governmental officials trying to modernize their economies, or economists and lawyers working in developmental agencies. . . There are few other books or publications that bring together the views of experts working in this important, albeit somewhat neglected, are of financial sector plumbing. William P. The law of outer space is rapidly evolving to adapt to changes in the economic drivers as well as advancements in technological capabilities. The contents of this book are a reflection of this changing environment as evidenced in the writings of the second and third generations of space lawyers. Theoretical aspects of space law are explored by chapters relating to fundamental concepts central to the corpus juris spatialis. Practical aspects of space law are probed by examinations into international and domestic regulation of commercial activities, with particular emphasis on African, Asian, and European perspectives. International policy considerations are scrutinized in relation to military...
