When it was time for my son, Glen, to go to bed I would make up short stories by creating characters in a fantasy world of a small boy named Tom, who was lost in a forest with his trusty friend, Denis the donkey. At the end of each story, he and Glen would fall fast asleep. The next day Glen would ask to look in my mouth to see if there was another story in there for him. Now grown-up to manhood, Glen asked if I would remember the stories and write them down. We hope others will enjoy these stories as much as we did. These bedtime stories helped Glen stay happy, warm and safe in bed before falling fast asleep.
