Los investigadores del Centro de Estudios de las Instituciones y las Organizaciones (CIO) ponen a consideración de los lectores cinco estudios que abordan, desde distintas perspectivas, el análisis de los factores considerados más relevantes al respecto del rezago de Jalisco con respecto a otras entidades federativas de México durante las últimas tres décadas. No obstante que existan otras interpretaciones, estamos convencidos de que los factores institucionales y organizacionales siempre estarán en el centro del debate. Los trabajos que conforman esta publicación son resultado de una serie de seminarios que se llevaron a cabo en el Departamento de Estudios Regionales (INESER).
