One of the eternal companions of Lord Narayana was Sage Nara. It was said that Arjuna was the incarnation of Sage Nara. Krishna and the Syamantaka Gems
The Mahabharata is one of the biggest epics in the world. Veda Vyasa is believed to have written the Mahabharata. Veda Vyasa is also credited as the compiler of the Puranas. The Puranas contain various stories of Gods, Goddesses, Kings, Sages, folktales, details of temples and places, and other important information about Hinduism. ***** Krishna is one of the heroes of the Mahabharata. The Puranas mention that Krishna had 16,108 wives. Out of his 16,108 wives, Krishna has eight principal Queens. The eight principal Queens are called Ashtabharya. Rukmini, Jambavathi, and Satyabhama are three of Krishna's principal Queens. ******* The Bhagwat Purana and many other Puranas narrate Krishna's stories. There is a particular story in the Bhagwat Purana where Krishna is accused of stealing the Syamantaka gems. The story narrates how Krishna was able to solve the problem and also how Krishna meets two of his eight principal Queens. This is a retelling of the story.
