Knowledge and Systems Engineering
The field of Knowledge and Systems Engineering (KSE) has experienced rapid development and inspired many applications in the world of information technology during the last decade. The KSE conference aims at providing an open international forum for presentation, discussion and exchange of the latest advances and challenges in research of the field. These proceedings contain papers presented at the Fifth International Conference on Knowledge and Systems Engineering (KSE 2013), which was held in Hanoi, Vietnam, during 17–19 October, 2013. Besides the main track of contributed papers, which are compiled into the first volume, the conference also featured several special sessions focusing on specific topics of interest as well as included one workshop, of which the papers form the second volume of these proceedings. The book gathers a total of 68 papers describing recent advances and development on various topics including knowledge discovery and data mining, natural language processing, expert systems, intelligent decision making, computational biology, computational modeling, optimization algorithms, and industrial applications.
Computational Collective Intelligence
This two-volume set (LNAI 11683 and LNAI 11684) constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence, ICCCI 2019, held in Hendaye France, in September 2019.The 117 full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 204 submissions. The papers are grouped in topical sections on: knowledge engineering and semantic web; social networks and recommender systems; text processing and information retrieval; data mining methods and applications; computer vision techniques; decision support and control systems; cooperative strategies for decision making and optimization; intelligent modeling and simulation approaches for real world systems; and innovations in intelligent systems.
Big Data Analytics and Knowledge Discovery
The volume LNCS 12393 constitutes the papers of the 22nd International Conference Big Data Analytics and Knowledge Discovery which will be held online in September 2020. The 15 full papers presented together with 14 short papers plus 1 position paper in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from a total of 77 submissions. This volume offers a wide range to following subjects on theoretical and practical aspects of big data analytics and knowledge discovery as a new generation of big data repository, data pre-processing, data mining, text mining, sequences, graph mining, and parallel processing.
Advances in Knowledge Discovery and Management
During the last decade, Knowledge Discovery and Management (KDM or, in French, EGC for Extraction et Gestion des connaissances) has been an intensive and fruitful research topic in the French-speaking scientific community. In 2003, this enthusiasm for KDM led to the foundation of a specific French-speaking association, called EGC, dedicated to supporting and promoting this topic. More precisely, KDM is concerned with the interface between knowledge and data such as, among other things, Data Mining, Knowledge Discovery, Business Intelligence, Knowledge Engineering and Semantic Web. The recent and novel research contributions collected in this book are extended and reworked versions of a selection of the best papers that were originally presented in French at the EGC 2010 Conference held in Tunis, Tunisia in January 2010. The volume is organized in three parts. Part I includes four chapters concerned with various aspects of Data Cube and Ontology-based representations. Part II is composed of four chapters concerned with Efficient Pattern Mining issues, while in Part III the last four chapters address Data Preprocessing and Information Retrieval.
Smart Applications and Data Analysis
This volume constitutes refereed proceedings of the Third International Conference on Smart Applications and Data Analysis, SADASC 2020, held in Marrakesh, Morocco. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the conference has been postponed to June 2020. The 24 full papers and 3 short papers presented were thoroughly reviewed and selected from 44 submissions. New Trends in Database and Information Systems
This book constitutes thoroughly reviewed and selected short papers presented at the 25th East-European Conference on Advances in Databases and Information Systems, ADBIS 2021, as well as papers presented at doctoral consortium and ADBIS 2021 workshops. Due to the COVID-19 the conference and satellite events were held in hybrid mode. The 11 full papers and 18 short papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 97 total submissions.
