Included here is a wide selection of Marx's letters to Frederick Engels, which not only sheds new light on the evolution of Marxist ideas, but also underscores their intense friendship and Marx's reliance on his collaborator for moral and financial support. Saul Kussiel Padover (1905-1981) was a historian and political scientist at the New School for Social Research in New York City.
