Life After J.E.B. Stuart

Mary Marrow Stuart Smith (1889-1985) lived a remarkable life as a respected artist and Virginia educator. The eldest grandchild of famed Confederate Cavalry General J.E.B. Stuart, she belonged to one of the Commonwealth's most celebrated families. Based on her original, never-before-published memoirs, Life after J.E.B. Stuart recounts Marrow's childhood as the Stuart family struggled to survive following the Civil War. It explores her efforts to pursue a fine arts education and career within a family known for its male soldiers and politicians. With rare photographs, previously unknown information about the family, and a foreword by Marrow's granddaughter, Life after J.E.B. Stuart is a must-read for those interested in the Civil War, southernhistory, or women's studies.

Friends and family affectionately called her Jessie Mei Mei and welcomed her to a new life in Australia. Jessie was the perfect eighteen-month-old child - gregarious and funny and easy to love. Howdy, I am Orlo James Goodson. You may have read one of my other books, the Jacksonville Norseman Society or The Scorpion. I would like to tell you about another one of my stories Abducted. In my reading I found this quote from Bob Lazar a former Government Scientist who worked at S4 near area 51 in southern Nevada. Obviously the ET craft do exist, something had to build them. So their must be aliens and since there are and the craft are there. There must be some sort of factory and an entire civilization somewhere, and if in fact that is true and it apparently is, then there must be others. Bob Lazar Former Government Scientist. One of the greatest fears faced by any parent is the fear of ...

Tierck Clafsen DeWitt and Descendants of His Son Luycas DeWitt

The DeWitt genealogy is a fascinating study of 26 generations of the family from 1293 to the present. This work is the collaboration of descendants of the three children of Leucas, ninth child of Tierck Clafsen DeWitt. American Ambassador Lester DeWitt Ballor of UEL descent obtained a copy from The Royal Library of the Hague of Beschayving DerStad Dordrecht by Mattys Balen, Jans Zoon published in 1677. This information provided the first thirteen generations in Holland. He also received a 32-page copy of a lawsuit in 1684 by Jan DeWitt on behalf of his brother Tierck for rent owned by Pieter Janz, their sister Faelde's husband. The property was land inherited by Tierck from his father Nicholaas. It provided information on her mother Taetje Cornelisz, her father, brothers and their shipyard.
