Este volumen reúne los textos de las contribuciones que se presentaron en la Jornada de Estudios «Leer casi lo mismo: la traducción literaria», celebrada en 2013 en el Departamento de Filología Española de la Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona. El objetivo de la jornada fue propiciar el encuentro interdisciplinar entre estudiosos de la lengua y la literatura, traductores, editores y autores con el propósito de meditar sobre las posibilidades y sobre los límites de la traducción literaria y, así, poner de relieve las diferentes estrategias adoptadas por los traductores para conseguir, en palabras de Umberto Eco, ese "Decir casi lo mismo". Los trabajos que integran este libro abarcan el análisis de traducciones desde otras lenguas al español y del español a otras lenguas a través del estudio de autores de distintos períodos de la historia de la literatura.
